Bordering the forest, our home has STUNNING views and is uniquely tucked away behind massive boulders- the perfect Tahoe home base all year round! Hang with friends & family on the back deck overlooking the forest + Mt Tallac, build a giant snowman in the yard, and hike down to the sweet sawmill pond. Set up for families! We pack n plays, a highchair + plenty of kids toys and books ready for you. Dogs on approval!

The Echo View Chalet holds a special place in our heart! It is uniquely tucked away in a private neighborhood, yet has easy access to highway 50, the city of South Lake Tahoe, Meyers, Kirkwood & Heavenly. Our Mountain Chalet has been tastefully updated with concrete countertops, stainless appliances, maple & stone flooring, custom bathrooms, hydronic heating & more. Our back deck is the absolute perfect place to catch the sunset-you won't want to leave!

Our custom home has 2 King beds, 1 Queen bed, a sleeper sofa & a guava pack n' play for the littlest guests. Designed by a local builder and reimagined by the new owner, our chalet has something for everyone! Our modern kitchen is fully stocked and boasts a 6 burner gas range, stainless steel updated appliances, concrete countertops, and an open flow to both the dining room and the living room. Enjoy amazing views and southern sun, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere any time of year. With lots of personal touches, we are confident you will feel right at home. We love hosting families! Kids 5 and under are not counted in the total guest count and we welcome the little ones. Please let us know if you need anything specific for your stay.

There is a large bedroom on the main level with a king size bed complete with purple mattress & Thuma bed frame. Just across the hall is a completely renovated bathroom along with the mudroom & laundry room.

Upstairs contains a huge primary suite, also with king bed, with forest & mountain views of Echo Summit. There's a comfortable couch, plenty of room for yoga, and a brand new 50" TV which is ready for all your streaming needs. A larger walk-in closet and built-in dressers also accompany this room, complete with a pack n play for the littlest guests.The spa-like bathroom is located ensuite to this bedroom.

Also upstairs is a flex room with a queen bed, small seating area, plenty of kids books and toys, and a large desk set up for work from home. Just steps away from the primary suite!

Did we mention the VIEWS? Our backyard and deck look towards stunning Echo Peak and Mount Tallac, and is surrounded by the forest. Simply look up on a clear night and be greeted by a stunning night sky!

You'll have the entire home to yourself, access to the garage, driveway and the expansive forest surrounding it!

We are easily available to communicate with through the Airbnb app. Don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything!

Our home is located in Echo View Estates: this neighborhood is quiet & secluded, yet just a few minutes from the town of Meyers and the 'Y' area of South Lake Tahoe where you will find groceries, restaurants, bars and shops.

We are located in EL Dorado County and have snow removal service for our driveway, and the county plows take care of the roads. Our neighborhood does get a lot of snow so during big storms~ sometimes we have to wait for the county plow service to come through. We definitely recommend AWD or 4WD in the winter.

As for ski resorts, we are about equal distance from both and Heavenly Ski Resort (9 miles) and Sierra at Tahoe (11 miles) ~both about 15-20 minute drive depending on conditions. (A bit longer during stormy times, of course ) Kirkwood ski resort is 30 miles away.

1 car garage (may for 2 smaller vehicles, however our driveway is ‘single lane’) as well as 2 spaces in the driveway. This is a small neighborhood so there is rarely any traffic. No street parking is allowed in our town during snow removal operation months (November 1st-April 15th)

Quiet hours must be observed between 10 PM and 8 AM & occupancy is limited during quiet hours.

Events are not allowed at this site. Event means a gathering or occurrence for socializing or celebrating, including, but not limited to, wedding, reception, bachelor/bachelorette party, commercial filming, concert, and/or any other similar happenings.

Please do not leave any food or fragrant items in your car!

Per El Dorado County VHR regulations, a signed rental agreement is required to confirm your reservation; we will send this via Docusign after your booking

The home manual & access instructions will be provided to you the evening before your arrival provided the required rental agreement has been complete.
